Professional review: current status

No independent professional reviews completed

No licensed professional has reviewed our articles. Source citations and editorial research are not a substitute for independent, article-specific technical review. We do not claim a reviewer, credential, signoff, or endorsement that we cannot document.

How to read our current attribution

  • Topic-specific editorial desks perform desk research; these organizational bylines are not individual people, trade licenses, or professional qualifications.
  • Sources listed on an article identify where information came from. A manufacturer page is not an independent test or endorsement.
  • Checking a document or safety source does not mean a licensed professional reviewed the article.
  • Use exact model manuals, qualified local professionals, and the authority having jurisdiction for decisions about a property.

How a qualified professional can review future articles

We maintain a written review brief for priority topics: generator sizing, fuel capacity, electrical and gas boundaries, placement, transfer equipment, safety and exact-model comparisons. Each review must identify the person, relevant competence, licensing jurisdiction where applicable, source version, scope, conflicts and date. A review becomes public only after an actual review record and permission are documented.

Current status: no independent US professional has signed off on any article. Pages must continue showing that status until a documented review exists. A manufacturer manual check, employee research-desk byline or automated test does not count as licensed review.

Have relevant, verifiable credentials and want to discuss reviewing content? Use the contact page. This is an invitation to discuss a potential future review, not a promise of employment, compensation or publication.

Disclosure if article review is completed

If an article later receives professional review, its page will identify the reviewer, the credential and licensing jurisdiction where applicable, the review date, the article-specific scope, and any relevant affiliation or compensation. A review will be attributed only to the article and scope actually reviewed.

What a professional review does—and does not—establish

Desk research checks published evidence. Professional review evaluates a named article and defined technical scope against a documented content version. Neither is a site inspection, permit approval, generator performance test or guarantee of suitability for your home.

A future review record must include profession, license type and jurisdiction, a public verification link, employer or affiliations, compensation, conflicts, reviewed version and limitations. We publish a license number or supplied headshot only with permission. Material edits require renewed review; a withdrawn or superseded record cannot support an active review badge.

Corrections and questions

Research dates, source links, and professional-review status are separate records. For factual corrections, send us the page URL and a supporting source; see the corrections policy for details.
