Research updates
This log records material editorial changes. It does not imply professional review or that every older article was reverified.
October 8, 2026 — homeowner decisions and operational checks
- Added a faster three-question path to sizing, real installed costs and exact-model comparisons without replacing the detailed research workflow.
- Introduced conditional, source-conscious buyer checks on brand and model pages and direct links to official manufacturer service locators.
- Published a blank private-use quote worksheet; the original-research project still has zero verified submissions and no open intake.
- Documented the priority review brief while retaining the disclosure that no independent licensed review has been completed.
- Removed an orphaned duplicate Cloudflare build trigger unrelated to the active staging Worker, preserving the real Worker build and GitHub QA.
October 5, 2026 — planning platform
- Expanded the exact-model library to 31 configurations across five manufacturers, including ATS package variants. Added field-level source maps and explicit missing fields.
- Added four browser tools for load planning, fuel scenarios, three-quote comparison and ownership budgets. Assumptions and calculation limits appear with each tool.
- Withheld disputed Generac 10 kW fuel-output/weight fields and Champion 26 kW sound figures rather than resolving manufacturer contradictions by assumption.
- Marked KOHLER 26RCA ATS scope and 26RCA/26RCAL weight discrepancies for clarification.
- Added selected Generac and KOHLER manual-based service schedules, a printable log and Fairfax County’s official permit starting point.
- Added reviewer infrastructure. No professional reviewer or completed licensed review has been recorded.
